Rith 2018 will take place during Seachtain na Gaeilge, from the 11 – 17 March 2018. Approximately 50,000 people will carry the baton 500+ km in this massive relay race from Belfast to finish in Kerry. Schools too can take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate the Irish language and culture, regardless of whether or not they are on the Rith course. A free schools pack will soon be available, to support schools in taking up those opportunities, taking part in Rith, creating a meaningful context for students to use Irish in an enjoyable way, and to use Rith as a basis for cross-curricular class work.
