Welcome to www.rith.ie !

Rith 2012 finished on 17 March 2012 on the Arann island of Inis Mór, ten days and 700 km after its start in Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal. Over 25,000 people from over 500 groups took part in the festival where a specially designed baton containing a secret message by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins was passed from person to person, group to group along every kilometer. The message was then read out at Rith 2012's final destination and can be viewed here: TEACHTAIREACHT RITH 2012
