Carlow / Ceatharlach (four lakes)
Did you know? Many stones with Ogham writing can be found in Carlow. Ogham is an ancient linear script and is the first known written language of Ireland.
You will notice below that the kilometres are marked…
Available – You can buy the kilometre by clicking on the "Buy now" button
Contact Us - you can buy the kilometre on behalf of a school/group but to do so, you need to do through the County Carlow coordinator for Rith 2010 at ceatharlach@rith.ie or fill in the form on www.rith.ie Why are some of the kilometres reserved? As Rith 2010 is a community baed festival, we would prefer that the kilometres in the towns and villages be purchased by schools or community groups rather than private individuals or businesses. We are hoping that groups such as the following will buy the reserved kilometres: Schools, Colleges, Youth Clubs, Irish language groups, Community Groups, Sports Clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides etc.
Sold – The kilometre has been purchased by another person/group. You can view on the website who they are.
If you buy a kiolmetre, you get:
- A kilometre of Rith 2010 reserved for you
- You lead Rith 2010 and carry the baton for your purchased kilometre
- 2 x official Rith 2010 vests for the person/people that will run with the baton for that kilometre
- Permission for your group to run behind the lead runner with flags, posters etc.
- An information pack about the route, with safety information and specifics of your purchased kilometre
- Your kilometre will be marked with your name/group name on the list of kilometres on the website (with URL option).
