Buy a kilometre
Each of the 1600kms are available to purchase as part of Rith 2010 relay run. Anybody or any group can buy a kiometre of the course
There are four price options available, depending on the selected kilometre
- €50 - In the countryside, outside of towns
- €100 - Outskirts/Edge of towns
- €250 - Town/City centres
- €20 - Club Rith (on threadmills during the official socuial function, Club Rith, which will be held at eth end of the day along the route)
If you buy a kilometre, you will get:
- A kilometre of Rith 2010 reserved for you and your group
- You lead the run and carry the offical baton for your selected kilometre
- 2 x Official Rith 2010 vests for the baton carrier(s)
- Permission for your support group to immediately follow you with flags, banners etc.
- An information pack with information on the run, safety information etc.
- Your name, your group and website address will be listed under the KM listing
- The option to buy the kilometre with Rith 2010 organising somebody to run on your behalf
On the KM listing, you will see that each KM is listed as…
Available– You can buy that kilometre through www.rith.ie
Contact Us - You can buy that kilometre but you need to contact the Rith 2010 county coordinator for the selected county. Select the kilometre that you want on www.rith.ie and fill in the form
Sold – That kilometre has been sold to another person or group. You can see on the KM listing who has purchased it.
Club Rith - That kilometre is available at Club Rith. The Club Rith kilometres will be run on a threadmaill at the official social function called Club Rith. Club Rith will be held each evening somewhere along the route - See Club Rith
To buy a kilometre, follow the next three steps
1. --> Choose your selected county on the map on the right
2. --> Choose you preferred kilometre
3. --> Fill in the form to reserve or purchase your KM. That's it!
Why are some kilometres reserved?
Because Rith 2010 is a community-based festival, we would like to see community groups running in the towns more so than prviate individuals and businesses. The reserved kilometres have been put aside for groups such as
- Schools
- Third Level Colleges
- Youth Clubs
- Irish language organisations & groups
- Arts Groups
- Sports Clubs
- Scouting Groups
- etc.
